Saint Denis School is a school specialized in languages, and thanks to positive feedback throughout the years, has decided to open its doors to ex-students and students from other schools.
Furthermore, students attending middle school may take part in guided independent study activities as they progress vertically in their own academic careers.

English language courses

Held by the staff from the School’s Language Department.
Some courses are offered on an annual basis (from October to May) or for a 4 month period (from October to January and from February to May).

English for fun

4-5 years old

Which better way to use the English language if not in a fun and interesting context like play, where the language is used in a natural and spontaneous way?

This is a 4-month long course (1 hour a week, for a total of 14 hours). 
At the end of the course, a certificate of attendance is awarded to each child.

First and second year Primary school students

This course is a preparatory course towards the Cambridge Young Learners English exams.

The aim is to introduce children to essential language structures and vocabulary.

An intuitive and stimulating approach uses concrete contexts of daily life and the interests of the pupils.
The activities in the lessons are:

Story time (reading a story from which oral activities are developed)

Practice time (listening, comprehension and speaking activities)

Culture and customs (stories, traditional rhymes, songs and films are used to arouse the interest of children in cultural aspects of English speaking nations)

Arts and crafts (creating and making in the English language)

Computer time (using multimedia technology to learn)

This is a 4-month long course (2 hours a week, for a total of 28 hours).
At the end of the course, a certificate of attendance is awarded to each child.

Preparation for Cambridge ESOL exams

Saint Denis school is an authorized preparation centre for University of Cambridge ESOL exams. These are based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages and its qualifications are recognized both by universities and in the work place worldwide.

First level courses

Preparation for one of the Cambridge Young Learners English exams: Starters (pre A1 CEFR), Movers (A1 CEFR) or Flyers (A2 CEFR).

These are annual courses (1.5 hours a week, for a total of 45 hours).

Second level courses

Preparation for one of the following Cambridge English exams: KET  (Key English Test, A2 CEFR) or PET (Preliminary English test, B1 CEFR).

These are annual courses (2 hours a week, for a total of 52 hours).

Third level courses

Preparation for the Cambridge English exam: FIRST (First Certificate in English, FCE, B2 CEFR).

This is an annual course (2 hours a week, for a total of 52 hours).

Courses for adults “Mums, Dads and Friends

Basic course

By learning the essential grammar rules alongside good pronunciation, the objective of this course is to gain the confidence needed to handle situations in a social and work context. This is an annual course.

The time and day (from Monday to Saturday) are arranged according to participants’ needs (1.5 hours a week, for a total of 45 hours).

Conversation classes (for intermediate and advanced levels)

These are modular courses of 10 hours per module. The time and day (from Monday to Saturday) are arranged according to participants’ needs.

French and Spanish language courses

These courses are in preparation for language exams (DELF – French, DELE – Spanish). The objective of these courses is to learn the essential language structures and basic vocabulary.

For third, fourth and fifth year Primary school students.
