Due to the pandemic, the entire school community has had quite a complex school year and sacrifices have been made to ensure safety and avoid contagion.
In strict compliance with the Covid-19 anti-contagion school security protocol, which changed daily school habits, the teaching activity continued successfully and the programs were completed regularly.
The use of masks, the social distancing and the careful sanitation have made Saint Denis School a safe place.
The D.A.D., used in the short period of the School’s forced closure, allowed uninterrupted communication with our students.
The D.D.I. has made it possible for absent children, at home as a precautionary measure, to regularly attend lessons, albeit virtually.
From the teachers’ feedback, it appears that the evolutionary process of the pupils has been very positive and that all the children have successfully moved towards the goals of citizenship competencies.
Fortunately, this school year was marked by positive events for Saint Denis School.
Thanks to the valid and comprehensive project presented, the School was accepted into the Cambridge Network and has become, by right, an INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.
In favour of the teaching and learning continuity, the School has planned the opening of the MIDDLE SCHOOL, thus completing the path of the first cycle of education.
The introduction of CIVIC EDUCATION, as an independent subject, has allowed all classes to consolidate the skills necessary for the conscious practice of responsible citizenship.
The NEW EVALUATION METHOD IN PRIMARY SCHOOL did not find the teachers unprepared; with the help of pedagogues identified by the management, worked to prepare a new evaluation model consistent with the requirements of Law n. 41/2020 and with the Guidelines. This model was appropriately illustrated to families.
Saint Denis School has been awarded an official recognition of merit for its Ministry of Education-UNICEF “SCUOLA AMICA” project.
According to the foregoing, despite the objective difficulties caused by Covid-19 and the consequent limitations imposed, the school year was characterized by successes and cultural growth.
