The period of a child’s development from ages 0-6 is the most important in terms of their social and cognitive development. Pedagogical research has proven that the structuring of a child’s personality largely depends on their experiences during this time.

To this end, Saint Denis School focuses greatly on the organisation of the learning space, relational modalities, the identification of new activities, the adoption of new teaching resources, content and methodologies, and the overall formation of the individual child.

Lessons are structured to be carried out in groups of children of similar age and development, but children are also encouraged to communicate and work with students of different ages from their own, in order to promote an idea of both horizontal and vertical interaction and learning.

Saint Denis School aims to be a “second home” for the child, where they can find:

  • peaceful and friendly environment which eases the temporary separation from parental figures, helping them grow and gain meaningful experiences throughout their time with us;
  • warmth and tenderness, which aim to enable the child to feel welcomed so that they can communicate their joy of being with others freely and openly;
  • roles of authority to help them accept rules of coexistence and form a healthy relationship with their surrounding realities.

Our teachers work in tandem with families in order to best follow the growth of each special and unique child with attention and sensitivity, and by sharing the guidelines of our “Educational Agreement of Joint Responsibility”.

At Saint Denis School we aim for each child to be
Serene · Sociable · Respectful of themselves and others · Confident in their own abilities · Intellectually curious and motivated
