Bilingualism

The peculiarity of the Saint Denis School is in learning English from a very early age.

Since the first days of school the teachers use to talk English in common situation: the greeting when arriving or when leaving, the indications to children, the questions and the answers. At the beginning is often necessary to translate, also through the use of gestures. In doing this, the child memorizes the sound associated with the meaning and becomes increasingly capable of understanding without the mediation of the Italian language.

All the activities in the morning are conducted in English!

During these activities, a valuable aid is given by the "flash cards" (to invent games that allow to acquire new words each week), the "songs" and "rhymes" (to accustom, in an amusing way, the ear to the sound of another language).

Hence, the child learns the foreign language in a natural and spontaneous way and become familiar with it thanks to the use of an effective and fun tool: the game.
